Apple has released Beta 2 to testers to further develop iOS 18.2, which it plans to release to a wide user base in December. The new beta version showcases Apple’s artificial intelligence-oriented features. So, what’s new in the beta 2 version? Details are in our news…
Apple iOS 18.2 Beta 2 has been released: Apple Intelligence, ChatGPT and new features
Apple Intelligence features optimized primarily on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and all iPhone 16 models have already attracted the attention of Apple fans. Although Beta 2 is now available for all iOS 18 compatible devices, some features are only fully realized on next-generation devices.
Apple Intelligence and Image Playground: Apple offers a feature called Image Playground to enhance users’ creativity. With this tool, it is possible to create fun animations or illustration-style visuals in a few seconds. In addition, Apple’s Genmoji feature allows users to create personal emojis based on text descriptions. In other words, users can create their own unique emoji by writing a short description.
ChatGPT integration to Siri: One of the most remarkable innovations coming with iOS 18.2 is Siri’s integration with ChatGPT. Siri is now more capable of natural language processing, allowing users to get more comprehensive answers to complex questions or requests.
Siri’s ability to access more sources of information means that it can support a wider range of AI, not just on-device information. This means that Siri is no longer just a voice assistant, but also a conversational assistant.
Revamped Mail app: Apple has also made the Mail app more useful. iOS 18.2’s new Mail app offers a more organized view by dividing the inbox into four different categories: Primary, Actions, Updates, and Promotions. This way, important emails can be accessed quickly without getting lost.
Image Wand in Notes: The Image Wand feature in the Notes app will turn simple drawings into more meaningful and elegant visuals. In addition, this feature, which integrates with Apple Intelligence, will also make note-taking easier. It is also possible to get information about the objects around you, especially with the camera controls on iPhone 16 models.
In fact, the feature that distinguishes this update from the others will be Siri’s ChatGPT integration and visual features. These features are expected to be available to everyone in December with the full version. What do you think about the new version? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
